One person has died and another is considered to be in critical condition after a small plane crashed near Jasper, Alta., on Sunday, according to Alberta Health Services. AHS said paramedics responded to the crash at about 1:30 p.m. They said one person was pronounced dead at the scene while the other was taken to hospital. RCMP later confirmed the man who died was a 31-year-old passenger on the plane. An RCMP spokesperson said it’s believed the plane had just taken off when it crashed into a river near an airstrip. They added that the Transportation Safety Board of Canada (TSB) has been called in to investigate what happened. Source: Global New Calgary
